Ginger power!

Hello my name is Majbritt and i'm a ginger addict.

I need to state the fact that I love ginger. In food, drinks, perfume, soap, you name it. Ginger is a funny root which has a unique flavor and scent. It also have many benefits that we can use to be more healthy in our daily life.

This is how it looks

1. Relieves nausea - Can be used as a remedy against nausea with morning sickness and even nausea from chemotherapy. It soothes a queezy stomach.
2. Arthritis - relieves inflammatory and pain, gives a warming effect which comforts and soothes :)
3. Digestion - it helps neutralize acids and stimulate the movement of food from the stomach into the upper small intestine.
4. Cold and flu prevention - coughs, flues, asthma and shortness of breath. Also it removes mucus from throat and lungs. 
5. Fights ovarian cancer - it induces cell dead in all ovarian cancer cells which it is implied. it is as effective as chemo but without the side effects.
6. Lowers cholesterol - which prevents blod clots. Has the same effect as an aspirin but without being hard on the stomach.
7. Prevents migraines - reduces frequency and strength of migraine attacks.

Glossy eyes!

Photolecious glossy eyes!

This is a cool look for photoshoots. Note that this DO NOT LAST. The gloss makes the eyeshadow move around on the eye, but it looks awesome at summer time with nothing else on the eyes but the gloss and mascara and a strong bright lip.

Shu Eumura Review!

Monday I finally got hair extensions on again :-)

This time it was different for me. I bought really nice quality hair, and therefore I also wanted to buy good tinges to keep it looking great.

A colleague of mine recommended the brush and oil from Shu Uemura and I have to say that so far i'm loving it :)

This is what Shu Uemura say about the products:

Essence Absolue

Nourishing protective oil

Multi use elixir that moisturizes and protects with intense nutrition. Rapidly absorbed into hair fiber it rebalances the moisture level of dry hair. The soft-sleek velvety oil creates a supple touch with high shine and provides UV protection. Formulated for daily use. Safe on color treated hair.

Fragrance: Camellia Petal

Technique: For daily use, apply one pump into palms and use fingertips to apply to dry/damaged areas of the hair before or after styling. As a pre-shampoo treatment, apply four pumps on to dry hair and comb through prior to shampooing. For an intense treatment, apply one pump to each quarter section of hair on mid lengths and ends then comb thoroughly and massage into scalp. Leave in overnight and style as usual in the morning.

Paddle Brush:

A hand-crafted professional quality tool combining the suppleness of an cushion with double nylon and natural softening bristles for efficient detangling, enhanced shine and smoothness from roots to ends.

To sum it all up, I thought that it was a lot of money to spend, but then again my hair was expensive so I wanted to buy the best products for my hair.

I use the brush first. The hair feels really soft after combing it, but it takes a bit of getting used to, since my old brush was very hard. This brush is soft enough so it doesn't ruin the weave where my extensions are sewn on, but still good enough to comb the hair through. leaving it feeling really soft and shiny.

After combing I use one pump of the oil, heat it up in my hands, and gently go throught the hair from root to tips. I instantly se a difference and my hair dosn't feel greasy at all. :)

Ultraviolet Eyes

Yesterday when I was relaxing at home, surfing the net, I stumbled across this awesome video by a sweet guy named Jordan. He incorporated several things in his tutorial everyone wants to learn!

Purple one of my favorite shades, and also kinda smokey effect with a bit of a cat eye shape to it.

This shows a trick with highlighting your eyeshadow to get that 3D effect that just makes the eye POP!! :-D

Need to have product

Brush Cleanser!

OH MY GOD..... Did you guys know how many different brush cleansers there's out there?

I was aware that there were a lot, but really, it's a jungle. 

One thing i noticed, I sure do love my M.A.C one. This brush cleanser works as a charm, gets the job done and your good to go! I've been trying out a couple of different ones, but always return to this sucker. Lately I've even been keeping one as a backup, so I never run dry. :-)

M.A.C describes the product like this:

This one product will clean, disinfect and condition the brush fibers so that brushes will last longer. It is convenient to use and is specifically designed to extend the life of high quality brushes. Brush Cleanser leaves your brushes smelling fresh and clean, and helps shorten their drying time.

I don't know about the whole smelling fresh, but it doesn't reek of alcohol like some of the other ones I tried out.

Of cause you can use this product different ways, but the way I prefer, is to pour out a small amount on a tissue and then wiping the brush in it, till it's clean :) quick and easy. Because it has a conditioning effect also, the hair on the brush can feel a bit greasy after cleaning it many times. Therefore every week or second i deep clean my brushes with shampoo.
